 The Boutique is a fashion retail learning lab and retail store operated by second-year students in the Fashion Business & Fashion Business Management programs at Seneca College. The Boutique allows students to practice and apply skills relevant to roles in fashion, buying, planning, digital marketing, advertising and promotion, store operations, training and development, financial management, analytics and customer service: https://www.senecacollege.ca/school/faculty-of-communication-art-and-design/school-of-fashion/the-boutique.html 

 

Students are required to choose and participate in one of six management teams that assists in a  specific operations of the business. The communications team is responsible for the promotions and marketing of The Boutique. Moreover, the Communications Team works closely with the Merchandising and Planning Team in managing the inventory, marketing, in-store events, promotions, and visual merchandising of The Boutique. 

 

 As the Head of the Communications Team, for the term of Fall 2020, the team was successful in strategically implementing specialized weekly promotions that strengthened brand awareness and increased sales to surpass goal of $24,000 during a 10-week period.
